Leona Lewis lifelong dream was to be a wax model

Leona Lewis’s “lifelong dream” was to be turned into a wax model.
The ‘Bleeding Love’ singer is thrilled about being transformed into a £150,000 life-size figurine, which it will be unveiled at London’s world famous Madame Tussauds museum next month.
She said: “It is such an honour to be asked by Madame Tussauds to join the other waxwork music stars. It has been a lifelong dream since I visited the attraction as a child to be immortalised in wax. I now can’t wait to meet my wax double!”
The model of the pop star will be dressed in the gown Leona wore at last year’s Beijing Olympics closing ceremony, which was designed by students at the London College of Fashion.
Leona, 24, sat for the waxwork specialists earlier this year when they took 300 measurements and a series of reference photographs.
In July, a new Michael Jackson waxwork was unveiled in the wake of his death.
It is the 13th model of the pop legend that has appeared at the museum.
Coldplay singer Chris Martin recently admitted he would love to appear in the attraction’s music section.

Web dates for Leona Lewis

The British songstress - who is living in Los Angeles while she works on new material - admits it is difficult to be apart from her boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa, who works in London, but keeps in touch online.
She explained to Britain's Cosmopolitan magazine: "Obviously a long-distance relationship is hard. But, like anything worth having, you make it work. You just have to keep the communication open - we Skype, we chat, we email. And he comes out when he can. I don't hate Los Angeles. There's a very beautiful side to it - it's scenic and I can go horse riding.
"When I first came out here I wasn't sure if I like it. It's taken a while because I love being at home with my family and I miss them when they're not here."
Despite gaining global stardom with her debut single 'A Moment Like This', Leona is still uncomfortable with being in the limelight.
She said: "It's not that I don't like the celebrity lifestyle. It's just that it's a bit unreal. Some people embrace being papped. I'd rather do normal things.
"I'm quite quiet and it takes me a while to come out of myself and be comfortable. But just because I'm polite and nice doesn't mean I can be pushed over. I know my own mind and I know what I will and won't do. I just go about it in a different way. I'm not confrontational, but I will speak my mind."

Leona Lewis wants rock record

Leona Lewis' new album is inspired by Coldplay.
The 'Bleeding Love' singer is working on the long-awaited follow-up LP to her debut release 'Spirit' and has been listening to her favorite group to get ideas for a new rockier sound.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Leona was really happy with the success of her cover of Snow Patrol's 'Run', so she thought it logical to try her hand at a more rock-based sound.
"She's a huge Coldplay fan and their influence is strong on a number of demos."
Leona - who shot to fame after winning U.K. TV talent show 'The X Factor' in 2006 - is expected to release her new album in November.
The record is rumored to feature several star guests, including Justin Timberlake, Ne-Yo and super-producer Timbaland.
Leona recently promised her fans will be surprised by the finished LP.
The 24-year-old star also revealed she plans to undertake her first ever solo tour once the album is released.
She confirmed: "I'll be touring in 2010 and through to the year after. I just can't wait."

Leona Lewis' 'pony' surprise birthday present!

The 'Bleeding Love' singer was "overwhelmed" when friends put their money together to sponsor a horse for her 24th birthday on Friday (03.04.09).
A source said: "Leona is besotted with horses. It's a bit pricey to splash out on one of her own so they did the next best thing and donated money to sponsor one for her in Los Angeles. She was overwhelmed by everyone's efforts."
The beauty was thrilled on Friday when her parents, friends and boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa surprised her by jetting over to the US to help her celebrate the occasion.
After surprising the X Factor winner with her unusual present, they whisked her off to a Thai restaurant.
Meanwhile, the softly-spoken star is being turned into a "feisty" diva after teaming up with producer Timbaland for the follow-up to her debut LP 'Spirit'.
A source said: "Timbaland can't wait to work with Leona and make her feisty like Beyonce and Rihanna. The ballads will still be there but the tracks will be racier and there'll be dance floor anthems too."
Leona is due to release the new album later this year.
